Ripudaman Singh Nanda

 

Having started his career as an Industrial Engineer, building piece rate incentive plan and Digitizing Workers incentive and compensation system in 1994 for a conventional heavy industrial establishment, Ripudaman Singh Nanda has worked his way to be a Board Member, Angel Investment and CX level Executive. In the process Ripu has mentored and lead the way in building world class organizations that have delivered IT Platforms and product reputed presence in Marque International Conglomerates. 

 

It has been more than a decade of investing and working with startups in Europe for Ripu, from helping establish “Innovation hub” for Accenture Consulting UK and working with startup founders and Prince's Trust foundation in 2013 for Accenture consulting  to building world class cutting edge platforms for Payment orchestration, Enhanced Due diligence platforms or B2C offering that are boutique offering and adoption and conversion rate of Billion dollar transactions per year.

 

Ripu, started his career with Neco Valves in Nagpur as an Industrial engineer, defining piece rate incentive scheme to effectively resolve worker strife and increasing production throughput by 5 times and then standing up a new line of business working with German Engineers and doing the rounds of banks to pitch the idea for the project and raise funding, and building an IT system to manage the Workers compensation system.

 

In Jan’2000 Ripu decided to reboot his career and pivoted to core IT vertical. The next 10 years was spent in Pune and Colchester, UK working on mobility products and setting up CoE for Tech Mahindra in Performance Engineering and building competencies in Telecom verticals for various customer in the USA and Europe.

 

Ripu moved to Accenture Consulting in 2011 and helped grow their UK practice of Application Modernization and Performance Engineering, later working with Prince’s trust foundation to mentor & train the employable youth from underprivileged backgrounds working with startup. This association helped Ripu build network with startup founders and understand startup ecosystem.

 

In 2011, Ripu invested seed capital in CellPoint Mobile a Travel Fintech company from Copenhagen, Denmark, with an objective to tap into the nascent Digital payments domain and introduce cutting edge technology to India. Ripu established the India operation of Cellpoint Digital (prev Cellpoint Mobile) as Managing Director and took over the dual role of Head of Product in 2016. Ripu has driven the Product Management ever since in CellPoint Digital. The company grew with no presence in 2015 to a 100 people team in Pune and building the best-in-class Digital Payment orchestration platform. Having recently successful moved into the role of Partner Director. Ripu was part of the Leadership team for eight years and helped raise multiple rounds of investment totaling to $50 million till date.

 

As an active investor and mentor today, Ripu is mentoring a host of startup which are at various points in their lifecycle in Edtech and Data Analytics field. Ripu helps them in seed funding, building product strategies, refining go to market plans and preparing and helping in successful fund-raising activities. Ripu, as Board Member for Spardha Online, has invested and also helped them raise funds and mentored growth from $10K to $3M in revenue as of today and growing 25% MoM.

 

Ripu has recently taken up the role of Head of Product and Technology at NeotasLondon based Startup engaged in Building and providing Open-Source Intelligence and Due diligence to its customers, the objective it to scale the organization from a revenue and technology perspective build a latest product and technology practices. 

 

To date Ripu is invested in 6 startups and is a member of various Angel networks and mentoring communities.
