Flying cars could be commercially available as early as 2024: CEO of tech company
Flying cars could be commercially available in 2024, but rules for managing this form of air traffic are still a concern, said Huge Martin, chief executive officer of Lacuna Technology in an interview with CNBC
Lacuna Technologies, a leading technology company that builds and manages open-sourced digital tools for cities and municipal agencies to create, communicate, and enforce dynamic transportation policies. Several other organisation are working on similar technology of Electric Car in China, Europe and US. We have seen its adoption in the field of transport cargo and packages, expansion is bound to happen in flying car in the future.
Regulations
In the U.S., he said the Federal Aviation Administration and NSA are working with drone and air taxi providers to consider what air traffic will look like in future.
Regulator requires to address many other challenges before it can take off like
- Manage traffic for flying cars
- Flying zone, time, allocated hours
- Airports or Landing stations across the city
- Other operation modalities
